2. Coverage
Global IoT SIM roaming on partner networks in 173 countries and regions across Europe (incl. the UK), Asia, North America, South America, Africa and Oceania. Available network types vary by country: check the coverage list (PDF).
United States: AT&T and T-Mobile, 4G LTE and LTE-M only. Trackers that use only 2G or 3G will not work in the US.
3. Is 30 MB a month enough?
Yes, for GPS tracking. Based on more than 10 years of supplying SIM cards with our trackers, 30 MB per month covers normal position reporting. Unused data does not carry over. If a SIM reaches 30 MB, it pauses until next month’s allowance starts.
4. Setup
- Insert the SIM into your tracker.
- Set the APN on your tracker. If you buy the SIM alone, we email you the APN after your order. If you buy it together with a Mictrack tracker, we set the APN before shipping.
- Power on the tracker.
This SIM does not support SMS. Trackers that are configured by SMS commands need to be set up another way (USB cable, app or tracking platform).
5. New SIM or renewal
- Order New SIM: we ship a new SIM card with 12, 24 or 36 months of service.
- Renew SIM Card: nothing is shipped. We add 12, 24 or 36 months to your existing Mictrack SIM on the same day. Enter the SIM’s ICCID (the 19–20 digit number printed on the card) in the order notes. If you can’t find it, send us the order number of your previous SIM purchase instead.

Will the Mictrack IoT SIM work with my GPS tracker?
The Mictrack IoT SIM works with most GPS trackers that support 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, LTE-M or NB-IoT, from any brand. Check that your country and your tracker’s network type are in the coverage list. The SIM is data only, so trackers that need SMS commands must be set up by USB, app or tracking platform. Some trackers also need roaming enabled in their settings.
Can I use the Mictrack IoT SIM in a non-Mictrack tracker?
Yes. The Mictrack IoT SIM works in GPS trackers of other brands that support its network types. Set the APN on your tracker before use; we email it to you after your order.
Do you set the APN for me?
If you buy the SIM together with a Mictrack tracker, we set the APN before shipping. If you buy the SIM alone, we email you the APN and you set it on your tracker.
Which networks does the Mictrack IoT SIM use in the United States?
In the United States, the Mictrack IoT SIM uses AT&T and T-Mobile 4G LTE and LTE-M networks. Trackers that use only 2G or 3G will not work in the US.
How much data is included?
The Mictrack IoT SIM includes 30 MB of data per month (360 MB per year), data only, no voice and no SMS. Unused data does not carry over to the next month. If a SIM reaches 30 MB, it pauses until next month’s allowance starts.
When does the plan start?
If you insert and power on the SIM, it activates immediately and the plan starts that day. Example: powered on Aug 23, 2025, a 2-year plan runs until Aug 23, 2027.
If you don’t use the SIM, it activates automatically 6 months after purchase and the plan starts from that date. Example: bought on Aug 23, 2025 and not used, it activates on Feb 23, 2026, and a 2-year plan runs until Feb 23, 2028.
Which SIM size will I receive?
A 3-in-1 SIM with Standard, Micro and Nano sizes.
Is the APN the same in every country?
Yes. One APN works in all covered countries, with roaming included.
Are there roaming fees?
No. Some trackers have roaming disabled by default; check your tracker’s settings or ask its supplier.
How do I renew my Mictrack IoT SIM?
We email you one month before your SIM expires. Choose “Renew SIM Card” on this page, select 12, 24 or 36 months, and enter the SIM’s ICCID (or your previous SIM order number) in the order notes. Renewing does not ship a new SIM; the renewal takes effect the same day. If your SIM has already expired, you can still renew it within 3 months.
How long does processing take?
New SIM orders ship within 2–3 business days after payment (weekends and public holidays excluded). Renewals ship nothing and take effect the same day.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
You can stop renewing after the current period ends. Once sold, IoT SIM cards and service periods are non-refundable (see our Refund Policy).
Can I use it in a phone?
No. This SIM is for GPS trackers only. It has 30 MB of data per month and no voice or SMS, so it is not suitable for phones or other high-data devices.
What are the delivery times?
Orders ship within 2–3 business days after payment (weekends and public holidays excluded). Priority Shipping takes 7–10 days. Free Shipping (18–25 days) is available in selected countries. The options for your country are shown at checkout.
How do I track my order?
Go to Track Your Order and enter your order number (for example #2023) and your email.
